Once the chickens have reached their slaughter weight, they are taken by truck to Ertingen and to the abattoir. The gentle motions and monotonous noises of the transport make the birds sleepy.
At the very latest, they become very tired by the blue light in the hall in which the truck is unloaded. Following this, the chickens are stunned. A vet is at hand to make sure that all of the birds have been stunned correctly. After slaughtering, they are plucked and carefully processed.
For consumers, the production process is a very transparent one. This is because, for most of the chicken products, we name the farms where the chickens were reared.
